What is GATE?
GATE stands for Graduate Aptitude Test In Engineering. This is an competitive exam for engineering students. On the basis of GATE Score one can get admission into most prestigious IITs, NITs, IIITs, IISc and other institutions for M.Tech/ M.S or Ph.D. Some PSUs Recruit through GATE.

Eligibility criteria of GATE 2021.
According to official GATE website, a candidate who is in third year or higher year of any undergraduate degree program or has completed any government approved undergraduate degree program in Engineering/ Technology/ Science/ Architecture/ Commerce/ Arts is eligible for taking up GATE 2021 exam.
